Mr. Nguyen Tri Tue - Outstanding Scientist of Can Tho City in 2023

On the morning of February 1, 2024, Mr. Nguyen Tri Tue was honored to be awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, Outstanding Scientist of Can Tho City in 2023, for his contributions to research and applying science to production practices, developing Anh Tri Tue Co., Ltd. to a new level, contributing to the overall development of Can Tho City in the process of international integration.

Mr. Tri Tue took a photo with Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City (4th from left), and honored scientists

Last year, Mr. Tri Tue was one of the individuals who won the First Prize with the solution "Manufacturing Rubber Base of Butterfly Valves for the offshore oil and gas exploitation in Vietnam" at the 12th Technical Innovation Contest of Can Tho City year 2022-2023.

At this event, Mr. Tri Tue's career story and passion for science once again brought inspiration to participants, especially the generation of young scientists. Mr. Tri Tue's biggest goal is to research and learn from advances in science and technology of developed countries, applying them to production practices to create high-tech rubber products that the key industries such as iron and steel, oil and gas, food processing, etc. have to import from abroad at extremely high costs.

At the event, the story about rubber bearings for propeller shaft support was once again mentioned as proof of Mr. Tri Tue's constant efforts on the path to conquering new challenges in his career. He was the first person in Vietnam to successfully produce rubber bearings to support propeller shafts, supplying them to the domestic market since 2002.

Also at this certificate awarding meeting, we were extremely proud to learn that Can Tho City received great news last year that Professor Vo Tong Xuan, currently honorary principal of Southern Can Tho University, became the first Vietnamese scientist to win the VinFuture award for his work 'Inventing and Advancing disease-resistant rice varieties'. The project contributes to ensuring global food security and promoting sustainable agriculture worldwide.
